Heart Natural Diamonds

The heart shape is a modified brilliant and one of the most technically demanding cuts, because its two lobes and cleft must be symmetrical for the outline to read clearly.

In smaller sizes the shape can be hard to recognise once set, so many buyers choose a heart of around half a carat or more. Check that both lobes are even and the point is crisp.
